Learn fascinating facts about the origins of Veste Oberhaus as a symbol of the secular power of the Prince-Bishop of Passau, as well as its evolution from a medieval castle through its time as a Renaissance palace to a Baroque fortress. At the heart of the castle, St George’s Chapel impresses with its colourful frescoes, which are among the oldest in the region.
